Wall Lettuce in the Rain is a very small painting I made to fit into an antique Art Nouveau frame I bought from an antique store. Wall lettuce (Lactuca muralis) is an exquisite little weed that grows alongside walls and fences, which has tiny and delicate protruding yellow flowers.

Pictured below is the painting in its native frame. I painted Wall Lettuce in the Rain in my apartment at Brunswick Square, Brighton, on 24 October, 2014.
