The Fitzwilliam Museum has a small collection of Amarna fragments from Akhetaten which was the ancient Egyptian capital built by Akhenaten around 1375 BC for the worship of the sun disc Aten. Pictured are a pair of lips which could only have belonged to a statue of Akhenaten, along with other fragments depicting worship of the Aten by the Pharaoh and his Queen Nefertiti.
