Recycled carboard, glass

I was pleasantly surprised by an exhibition of Brazilian furniture design and art held at the Lisbon Design Museum. There was one piece which I found beautiful - a glass table supported by three giant pebbles made of compressed cardboard. The glass itself could have been done better, but the pebbles and overall piece were striking.

Pictured is Mesa Agua by Domingos Totora.

The Lisbon Design Museum itself has a good collection, but the museum interior is done in extremely bad taste. To make matters worse, the museum is guarded by armed police officers patrolling the galleries in near-full riot gear who jump on anyone trying to take pictures.
