Morpho Refractive Scale Structure Produces Blue Light

​The video was produced at the Lawrence Berkeley Lab in conjunction with the Lawrence Hall of Science.

A Canadian nanotech company has created a substrate which mimics exclusive refraction in a similar way to Morpho wing scales. NanoTech Security Corp.​ intends to manufacture the film as a replacement for current anti-counterfeiting technology - the holograms, metallic elements, and watermarks currently used in currency, credit cards, and other commercial items.
